🧠 Why Thalamus Exists

Most people are never taught how sleep works.
They just learn how to live with, or worse, without it.

Thalamus was created to change that.
It translates research into clear, practical tools.

It is made for people, not just professionals

I picked up a camera. A year later, my photos were on magazine covers.

💻 2023

I taught myself to code. Six months later, I launched GulaTech,  building tech across wellness and health.

🏋️ 2024

After reaching my 40s, I started taking my health seriously. I joined a world-leading personal trainer and we set a goal to improve my fitness and physique.

I tracked every macro.
I trained every day.
But my biology was telling a different story:

  • My cholesterol was high

  • My HRV was low

  • My waistline was expanding

 

I felt like I was doing everything right. But something fundamental was wrong.

That’s when I realised:
I couldn’t fix my body without fixing my sleep.

Sleep wasn’t a side detail — it was the missing piece of the puzzle. 

Arguably, sleep optimisation was the most important factor in enabling me to build a physique worth showing up in a bodybuilding competition in June 2025.

🛤️ A New Journey Began

From that moment, I committed to studying it properly:

Not casually. Not through TikTok tips.
But through real science.

🩺 Clinical Sleep Medicine

I began connecting dots most people never see.
Why? Because I needed to understand why my body was failing despite doing everything “right.”

But this journey isn’t just personal anymore.
It’s now a mission:

To help others rebuild their health from the foundation up — starting with sleep.
